There are a lot of people who want some of the DMM weapons and for a gud reason, the weapons are freaking awesome looking.
I want to be able to use those weapons in Gmod but (like the other 99% of Facepunchers) I don't know how to do it.
I've extracted a lot of the DMM crap to my gmod folder (and yes it did mess up my hud but it's so easy to fix).
Now the problem with making your own swep is if you use the basic garry newman swep frame but replace the models with a DMM sword you end up with something like a fire penith

The DMM model files and the HL2 model files are all the same (.vtx, .vvd, .mdl, .dx80.vtx, dx90.vtx, and sometimes .phy) but I noticed that theres a file that ends in .xbox.vtx and I don't know anything about it.
So how do I get the fire sword in the playermodels hands? What kind of software is used? If you check out this swep made from DMM, [url]http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=86077[/url], you'll notice that this guy made his own custom weapon hold type, how can I do that? Are there any good tutorials out there I can use?

The problem is that the bones on the model arn't the ones that it need to be.
Look at the first video on this thread. It'll show you how to fix it.

I belive there is also a text written tutorial out there with pictures, so with some search you might be able to find it.
You can just delete any .xbox files.
