after ive decompiled a model and opened it in 3ds max how do i convert the texture into a tga, or bmp or the standard format?
what file is it now?
well i just decompiled a CSGO file and now ive got 6 SMD files, 1 QC file and 1 VTA file...i know that the SMD is the 3D one which i can open in 3ds max...but how do i apply texture?
what file is it now?
smd files are your actual models, physics, and skeleton to go with it qc is what throws in all the command lines to get your model compiled vta is facial expressions
so where do you get the textures from? and make it work?
smd files are your actual models, physics, and skeleton to go with it qc is what throws in all the command lines to get your model compiled vta is facial expressions
The textures are in the materials folder and they come in two formats the VMT = the material file the VTF = the actual bitmap They aren't baked into the model like during the days of goldsrc
