• Blender Modeling - How to select the .vft matrail

Hello, I just started Modeling, but I found "Milkshape" quit, stupide. So I found blender instead, but I can't find the tab to select the .vtf file on the model. What am I doing wrong, or can't blender do that? I installed a mod though. But that only makes me enable to Export in SMD. Please let me know if you know a better modeling program.
Generally you're better off learning 3Ds Max or Maya because theyre are the industry standard, You can sign up as a Student to get them free!. But that's not to say Blender is extremely power and its definitely capable provided you know how to use it. When it comes to blender the .vtf is irrelevant, it doesn't affect the export in any way, blender cant even load VTF's But when you assign a material to your model in Blender you must have ".vmt" at the end of it. Eg. "Material.vmt" After that you don't have to worry about anything else other than putting your VMT and VTF files in the correct directory. This is so your SMD file can recognize the VMT its assigned to when compiling your QC code From there the VMT will direct to a VTF file.
Ohhh, I was about to kill my self because Blender was so hard! Thanks for the help :/
