Hey guys, is there a good guide anywhere online for doing headhacks? ie the kind where people take a model from a game (say, an Imperial Stormtrooper or a Brotherhood of Steel guy, to name ones I've seen) and hack on the citizen/resistance heads from HL2? The face-poseable ones you see on a lot of models.
I see a lot of those around and I really like them, and I'd like to be able to make my own instead of just bugging people with requests. So, I want to know how it's done, what programs I need, and what steps need to be taken. A tutorial would be really excellent. My finest google-fu to try to find this sort of guide hasn't turned up anything of value, sadly.

Up to date sure, understandable from people with no skills? no.
