Heyo. I downloaded a few things off of gamebanana that I plan to use in a weapon pack. However, these by default use the built-in CS:S hands. Is there any way I can make them C_Model compatible?
You just have to delete the arms/hands mesh in Blender or some other modelling program and recompile. You can leave the bones.

Okay, uh, sorry, I'm new to this stuff.
So, I've decompiled the model and what not, and I have the reference in Blender.
Butttt..... I can't figure out how to select ONLY the hands mesh to delete.
When I try to select it individually, I just end up selecting the whole model... what do I need to do?
I'll post a video tonight. Add me on Steam
CSS weapons don't work with c_model without a LOT of tweaking. That's even if you manage to get a skin that uses actual bone names.

I've never had any problems with the guns. Almost all have the hand and muzzle attachment, with only a few renames needed to the arm bones.
Its not as simple as that. Not every custom CS weapon is rigged to the same skeleton. The c hands are all messed up on most of weapons. Even the default gmod css c models are not perfect
