My friend wants to convert some .bsd files to .obj, so i found this program that supposedly does that.
http://fwheel.net/gk3/gk3mod2obj/bsp2obj.html
it says to just type out a thing in a command prompt, but it doesnt work for me.
does anyone know how to properly work this program? whenever i open the application, a cmd prompt pops up for a split second and dissapears.
and when i use the regular windows cmd prompt, it doesnt work when i type out what it wants me to.
What the fuck is a bsd? Ohhhh, bsp. The bsp format and structure is very old and has been modified many times over that a simple program isn't going to cover all the types. From a quick google search gk3 stands for "Gabriel Knight 3" so the bsp would have to be based on whatever engine they used. I am guessing because you are posting this on facepunch you are looking for a method to port Source Engine based bsp's to a model. If this is the case I would suggest taking the maps vmf, load it up in hammer and just exporting an obj with one of the menu items that exports to obj. Also there is a third party tool called Propper that takes raw maps and converts them to mdl's and maybe smd's.
