Valve had to release SteamPipe and now every one of the skins or custom playermodels, etc, I use are broken.
I have followed many tutorials,
Yet the Player Models I try always turn out invisible, I tried CS:GO Player Models which have been ported to CSS, and MW3 Delta Force Players. How can I fix this?
I have gone in to the custom folder, made a folder name my_custom_stuff and put the models and materials in there, nothing works. How can I fix this?
You can't without recompiling, and guess what? That is broken too, IMHO Valve really fucked up big time.

They sure fucking did. What was the point of SteamPipe exactly?

Some bullshit that goes like this "Implements addon support so the server can load faster", the funny thing, the loading time was never an issue.

I never cared for the loading times, I could always get a drink or grab a snack and be ready.
They are also saying it will be easier to manage addons. Bullcrap
If they were gonna move to steam pipe, might as well implement CS:GO's lighting.
Just to clarify something: compiling/recompiling models is still possible after the recent CS:S update. It's just a pain in the ass to do so, especially when it comes to testing them to make sure there aren't any bugs (the model viewer remains broken after going through the necessary steps to get compiling to work again - nice job, Valve).
There's a few folks over at GameBanana who know how to do it, and I'm still in the process of getting everything working again on my end. Anyone that compiles for CS:S will need to learn the new method of compiling in the meantime.
I don't even know how to do any of this shit. I liked it more when I could just drag and drop the folders and they would show ingame.
For the most part, you can still do that. The installation method is just slightly altered, and world/character models still need to be recompiled for the time being.

I have no idea what I would need to recompile them. Or how to recompile them,
