Hello I would like to know how to do[B] most of the playermodels [/B]and [B]npc models[/B]. Please add me to steam or refer me to youtube tutorial that works. I had MilkShape 3D, Mdl decompiler and Studio compiler. I know how to make they into sprites but i just want to know how to do one playermodel and one npc, so i can start with this project. I think is not that hard there are tutorials on youtube and example files, but i would like to know how to start.
Modeling isn't easy as you think it is. Start off with something easier like an object.
In order to modify a playermodel, I decompile [B]t_leet[/B] model using [B]Mdl decompiler [/B]and i get a list of smd files and one qc files. Then i modify the first one [B]t_leet_reference.smd. [/B]Then i import this model using the option import [B]Half life smd[/B] in [B]MilkShape 3D, [/B]modify the file and export again to [B]Half life smd[/B], selection the option [B]smd export with reference.[/B] Then i open[B] Studio compiler[/B], go to the tab [B]model compile > compile w/Existing QC [/B]and when i click in[B] compile button[/B] the model compiled. [U]The problem is when i open the model on [B]Source SDK > Model view[/B] it doesn't act like other playermodels and the bar frame doesn't move so i guess is not working[/U]. Can you send to me an screen of the program about the moment when you compiled this model? because i want to know how you compiled the model using the tab [B]model[/B] [B]compile > compiled[/B] [B]model[/B] on [B]Studio compiler. Edit: [/B]Error Vertex File for 'player/t_leet.mdl' checksum -1477390766 should be -151165187 in game console [B]Edit:[/B] I discover that in order know the materials of a .mdl file you should decompile it with [B]Mdldecompiler[/B] and later open the reference smd file on [B]Milkshape3D. [/B]Click on the [B]group list[/B] and the you see all the materials of the file. Then you can follow those materials in the directory using the Search Fuction F3 on [B]materials/. [/B]This is a relevant information for people that make addons or want to use a single mdl file from a pack.

I need help to make one of those models for a mod So if you can help me tell me what model you like the most, i just need a model with combine skeleton animations.
