3D Head modeling in Maya- Best tutorial/technique?

Hi all.
I've been modeling in Maya for quite a while now, but as far, all my models were props (not organic meshes etc). Now I wanted to learn how to model a character and specifically the head*.
So here is my question: What's the best technique for modeling a head (maya), and where can I find good tutorials on it?
*A guy with a youtube name "animation methods" made a good tutorial on the overall body, unfortunately his model didn't posses some facial elements (like the bottom of the nose, the mouth etc. it was a model of a ninja with a masked face).
