It's a reskin of a model from The Force Unleashed. It hasn't been ported to Source yet, but I'll get better screenshots when it is. Also, does anyone know if ambient occlusion maps work in Source?
nice
They do, I think they do. (they boasted about that in ep1)
Ooooo. scary~
It doesn't look as smooth and white as something Aperture would make, but its a great model anyway.
Hey, at least we can finally see what that live fire course was for (assuming Glados wasn't lying, of course).
Reall nice, any cahnce this could go beyond a resikn?
I hate it when the normal maps look weird in renders. Damn Max.
Looks great, apart from some of the normal maps and the unstraightened UVs
It doesn't look Portal-ly to me. Needs more smooth, rounded, white panels.
oops sorry i put dum instead of artistic i rate again i apolegise
I like the design. [editline]09:42AM[/editline] Looks like it could be more from Mass Effect rather than portal though.
Proxy, what have they done to you?!? Also, BRILLIANT!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnt. O_O
-snip, never mind.-
Starwars the force unleashed Proxy much?

It's a reskin of a model from The Force Unleashed. You should rig it and make it an NPC. That would be awesome.
Oh wait it wasn't your model? Mehh. Shoulda read better.

hes got a sad face :C
great job, want it :3
Suddenly you being unable to straighten a UV makes sense.
Man, that is a beaut. Can't wait for a possible release!
No, it's not Proxy, it's the training droids that attack you en masse in the Jedi Temple DLC. And I'm reworking the bump maps and so far (at least in the material editor) it's looking a lot more...Aperture-y. The actual Portal models have blank normal maps, but I left some details in so it wouldn't be completely devoid of depth. I also overlaid some parts of its ambient occlusion map onto the actual texture so it would have some detail (before the AO texture was the only thing that added surface detail to the texture).
Suddenly you being unable to straighten a UV makes sense.
It's just that one ankle I think and a couple of other small places. The ankle should be easy to fix without messing with the UVs. [editline]03:12PM[/editline]
They do, I think they do. (they boasted about that in ep1)
I'll go check Valve wiki then, if it does work I have no idea what the VMT parameter is for it. (it's probably something really simple and I'll feel dumb for not knowing it)
You should rig it and make it an NPC. That would be awesome.
Well, it wouldn't be that difficult. It would probably be the combine soldier animations, but it would be cool if you could somehow add custom footstep noises so it would have a metallic-sounding footstep instead of the generic 'gear moving around as the soldier is running' sound.

I never knew why Garry didn't put soldier footstep noises into the game like Hl2 and Dm has. Edit; Double post, the hell?
What ever it's a reskin of, it's still epic and would make for an epic couple with the she-terminator. Er.... >_>
Okay yeah that was kinda dumb.
This looks extremely good! Good luck with getting it into Source. Also, I would recommend rigging it as a Combine Elite replacement; that seems like it would fit nicely.
I would recommend not releasing it until it actually looks like Aperture made it.
