I'm attempting to give a character model functioning eyes and I am running into a few problems. Do not confuse this with creating flex, I'm only dealing with the eye textures: eyeball and pupil.
The Iris on the eyeball is stretching off to the sides even though I've tried almost everything with the uv of the model. The problem can be seen below when the iris moves to the sides of the eyeball:

If someone could point me into the right direction for getting this to work, that would be great. A tutorial is preferred, yet I have been unable to find a decent one on Google.
