• Half Life Opfor, bshift and Decay models?
    12 replies, posted
I am currently having serious problems in my attempts to port the legacy models to the source engine. You see, I have followed the instructions on how to convert models from goldsrc to source posted on steam developer's, but it did not worked. Mostly due to studiomdl complaining about the lack of filesystem_steam.dll. Anyway. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to port these things and make them hammer-compatible, or if it is not asking too much, maybe someone could do me that favor. Also how do I create a collision box anyway? That tutorial was lacking some information. Ps: I know about the goldsrc-src model porting thread, and not only were some models missing, most of the stuff there crashed my hammer. Regards.
Really? No one?
Oh come on, half of the people on this site are probably GODS at this? There is really not a single person willing to help me? I just want to know how to port these goddamned models.
Calm down. If nobody's responding to your thread, then they are either too busy with other projects, don't have the necessary matierials (the games, in this case), or they don't have any interest in your request. Bumping it on a daily basis won't do anything except irritate people.
Yes, I know bumping it within less than 24 hours was a bit too much. Despite that, all that i wanted was a reply. Thanks to you atleast, i know someone may yet give me the answers i seek. I shall wait a bit longer.
You should also add more detail so they know what you're talking about.
All of the models?
Thanks for replying. No, just map props. From opfor, bshift and decay. Capable of being loaded in hammer without crashing it. The goldsource model pack had some of them, but they crashed hammer. I also tried porting a simple one (pipe_1_straight.mdl) from decay but studiomdl was incooperative, and the guide of steam developers did not seem to cover bouding boxes and physics in much detail. What i am asking for is, either a thorough tutorial on porting models between gldsrc and src engines or, if someone is willing to, to have them ported for me because, without them, all those gldsrc maps ive been porting will have been a waste. No one else?
I hate bumping after all this time but I was busy in the meantime, and I do not want to make a new post. Anyone can help me getting these models?
You didn't find what you were looking for in here? http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=738169
He said they crashed hammer when he loaded them
He said they crashed hammer when he loaded them
Then he's not doing something right, because the models work fine in hammer.
