• Tutorials, tips, guides and advice for remodeling HL2 and CS:S weapons for Gmod?

Hello, I'm completely new to Facepunch so if I'm posting in the wrong place for this, I'm sorry and if you have the ablity to, feel free to move it to where it belongs. I'm here to ask how do you make remodels for Garry's Mod weapons, like these: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=614141558&searchtext=replacement ? I play a lot of Garry's Mod zombie survival and I have gotten bored with the normal weapon models and want to get something more interesting to replace them, so I decided to checkout the workshop. Now I admit, the workshop has plenty of great remodels, but when I try to use the sights of alot of them in zombie survival (or any SWEP that uses that model) , it just doesn't look right. I have decided that I'll just have to make my own models in order to deal with this. Now, I'll say this, I have no experience with Lua, Crowbar or anything like that. I do have the Modeling program Blender, however it's been ages since I last used it (and even then I was still in the early phases of learning to use it) so I forgot much of what I knew about it, aside from some Hotkeys. I'd figured that the SWEP Construction kit (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=109724869) might be the best thing for me to use right now, I don't know much about it (the only thing i've done so far was making ironsights for the 9mm) but I think I can learn to use it faster than trying to make something on Blender. However, if I'm wrong about that, please feel free to correct me. So to sum it all up, someone that has no prior knowledge about creating any form of mods wants to learn how to make replacement models for most, if not all the HL2 and CS:S weapons that have properly aligned sights when you use them in gamemodes like Zombie Survival or SWEPs that use their models.
