What 3ds Max version, or better software to use for modeling

What 3ds max version should I download, 2011, 2012, or 2014. Or what is the best software for source modeling. Thanks!

I use 3ds Max 2012 and i think it's really great for modelling :)
P.S. For 2012 3ds Max Hotfix #1 and #2 is required.
.VTA Export/ .SMD Import/Export plugins works very well.
