• Is there any way to mirror an existing .smd?

So there's an animation I'm planning on using for an NPC, but the problem is there's only a _right variant and no _left variant. I decided to see if I could mirror the animation, but using Milkshape 3D (the only thing I have that I can use somewhat properly) 's mirror tool screws up the animation and horribly deforms the NPC's model. What am I doing wrong?
There is no possible way to mirror any .smd at all.
