So, this last days i've been playing on with my friends being a lazy fuck and not doing anything AT ALL. I went with them to play L4D2 and found some good player models (Survivors) that i'd like to see in Gmod (it would be various models). I've already got the models decompiled and I've been looking on google for the past 2 days and yet no luck. I've seen that the valve bipid bone structure between L4D2 and Gmod differ, but i yet don't know which bones differ and how i've gotta change them. If anyone would be so kind to tell me which bones this would be or how to change them, or in what means L4D2 player models differ from the Gmod ones, i'd appreciate your help.
And recently i've been trying to start learning how to port models and player models from other games, so any tutorial/video or anything that would help me with this... matter, i would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
First off, did you get permission from the original modder?
Second, did you would need to do a proportion trick to get them to work.
If not you'll need to rerig them from scratch.
First, yeah, the author said in the blog in which they posted their model that anyone could feel free to do anything they wanted about their model, and this version im trying to convert to Gmod is a version of the model that has been already converted to Left 4 Dead 2. Im trying to get it from L4D2 instead of the original because this one has the valve bipid rig.
And what do you mean that i would need to do a proportion trick to get it to work? Are L4D2 models different in size from other Source games? Or what do you mean exactly?
