Unable to set the textures in the Obj File correctly.

After trying to put the original textures onto a obj, I realized they can't be painted on without a UV wrap, once doing that resulted in the textures being misplaced.

Am I supposed to do place the texture using a program?
You can click the little icon at the very left bottom of the screen and open the UVmapper, which allows you to reposition the UV's. But don't use blender's uv unwraping function, its like pressing the automap button in maya. If you can try to get a trial or student copy of 3ds max, it provides a much better uvunwrap that i use for ripping models from games and fixing their textures.
