GUIStudioMDL: StudioMDL freezes when compiling model.
5 replies, posted
this is the fifth fucking thread dealing with GUIStudioMDL and StudioMDL, i swear.
Anyhow, I've been having trouble as of late trying to compile a model yet again. Of course, only this time the model doesn't only refuse to compile, StudioMDL actually freezes upon attempting to compile the model. And when I say 'freeze', both GUIStudioMDL and Cra0kalo's StudioMDL both hang at a certain point, which is this:
Working on "Father_Rodin.qc"
SMD MODEL Father_rodin.smd
SMD MODEL Father_rodin_sequence.smd
WARNING: model has too many verts, cutting into multiple models
And that's where it freezes.
QC File:
$modelname "Rodin/FatherRodin.mdl"
$model "Father_Rodin" "Father_rodin.smd"
$cdmaterials "models\FatherRodin\"
//this is for sfm AO to work
$mostlyopaque
//this is for sfm AO to work
$surfaceprop "flesh"
$sequence ragdoll "Father_rodin_sequence" ACT_DIERAGDOLL 1 fps 30.00
And I swear to god, I must be cursed with compiling models.
haha dam man whats the father_rodin.smd look like how many polygons does it have

Split the model into multiple SMDs. I heard that works.

That may come necessary if and when I get Rodin's wings.
