Everyone who have played Garrys Mod knows what gm_construct is. This is basicly my own version of it with a few less errors in the map, no offence to the makers of the original construct map. The making of this map was brilliant making because the original map had so many small details i had to kind of keep since its a remake of the construct map. Either way this map features: *Water *Dark / Garage room *Color room without the popup on ur screen when entering it the first time. *Two small boats in the lake ( these are not controlable from start since its Garrysmod u can make ur own control system) there is more to the map than what I described here but writing it down will destroy the fun of exploring the map. very nice map, definitly worth the download. Gives a new look at Consturct.

Construct was never original anyways, but this is nice, nicer than gm_construct infact.

Decompiling maps is never a good idea. I also see messed up cubemaps and a stretched skybox. Overall, not much work has been put into this. I could do this in 30 minutes.

And what is wrong with the cubemaps??

I know a proper map is awsome btw the first one there looks extremely detailed (nice) and a map used alot of time on is best but look i made this map because I didnt like the original construct and i uploaded it because some friends of my told me it was pretty good. and go ahead and find good reasons for why this map sucks or how horrible mapper u guys think I am but i uploaded it for the sake of fun. *sigh*
Indeed, those maps shows the normal "quality" of facepunch mapping.

The skybox is not stretched (Larry G download before making a statement no?) The 3D-Skybox is REMOVED, not fucked up. The map is not a designer heaven its a construct map. The cubemap(s) is not fucked as i can see And no i NEVER tried to be to be an selfish sly mapper naming a map after his username but I used my username in the name because way to many is already using the original name.
Oh, come on. Give him a break, I'm an experienced mapper myself and I don't see anything wrong with that map. I get that feeling sometimes, that I just want to make something for fun, and he wanted to release it. So what? Good work dude, you deserve it, now go out there and make a stunning map. Everyone can do it if they study hammer and put some effort into it :)

The lighting is also pretty bland. And I really don't see what makes this different or better than gm_construct. It has all of its features, in the exact same places, with some actually removed. So what's the point? Why make a pure remake of construct?

It looks alright to me, I have no idea how he could have stretched the skybox unless he actually modified the textures? I do think that there's to many construct maps out there, so Proud Viking you got some talent there. Use it for something that's original. Tried mapping for L4D? It's quite challenging and will keep you busy for about a month to get the first map released :)

Just comment nice instead. Try to see it on the bright side and encourage him to not make a construct map and make something original, as I said earlier try an L4D map, It'll keep you occupied. And yes, he shouldn't have released this one.

You don't need hdr for it to work, it's just an update in the orangebox that makes some textures stretch without it for some reason, don't know why really, but it works.
