It starts off good:

i have an origin on the side next to the table, do i have to put another one somewhere else?
If its a func door, you need to fix the origin and move direciton.
its a func_door_rotating i have the move direction to "up" and the origin is on the side where its connected to the table
Change the move direction back to normal, then check the flags to rotate over either the x axis or the y axis in the flags tab. You will need to check the one way and possibly reverse direction as well.
