Anyways, I think your map is lacking in a ton of detail, and needs better lighting. The outside of the gasstation is mostly just flat nothingness, try adding more stuff

Its too blocky, outside its damn too repetitive(The gas station and a large piece of flat nothing) , lightning sucks, and it in desperate need of more details.
Ok pictures are up. Just give me constructive criticism ill fix the map so far it needs:
better lighting
more detail in the gas station
im now noticing the skybox could be a little higher
and less blocky.
and the idea of the map is to build so i dont need to detail to open plain for building

Too many build maps. Ugh, this map looks ugly. Blocky, bland, not original. Also, turn your graphics up.
Get a better computer
A building map is not reason for making a huge block with the block outside of the gasstation try adding some houses or some driving cars in the skybox and the map will look more alive.

You don't need an amazing rig...i run on a dual core with 2 gb of ram. But when you take final pics, you should be showing it at it's best.
Really this map shouldn't have been released. It could have been used as part of another map, but not by itself.

Yea i guess your right. It seemed like a good idea at the time, ill just save it until im better at mapping and make it better.

Good idea, but there's something I should stress.
Why is this in releases?
I know it sounds harsh, horrible... I hate to break it to ya but if it's for building, we could just go on Flatgrass and make our own gas station. That's what Gmod's for.
Good idea, but add more before putting it in releases. Or make a thread in another section for constructive criticism and ideas, and help on improvements. You're kind of rushing the process.

You don't need a super computer to make nice looking maps in Hammer :downs:.
Looks like you just took the Gas Station out of rp_cscdesert, edited it a little, put it on gm_flatgrass, added the long road and then just changed the grass colour...
