I first started this map when I was inspired by one of the challenges going on in this forum and I used it to try and practice my brushwork. Me and my brothers got kinda bored of playing electriconslaught_b15 all the time, so I turned this map into an onslaught map!
It includes:

[*]A small, old, headcrab canister'd shack
[*]A city in the distance with its own citadel (brushbased, wasn't a model small enough for the skybox. I'm impressed with how it came out)
[*]A mountain range inspired by a VMF I came across in the beta, and they also use textures from the beta! :v:
[*]3 entrances to a large underground expanse, one measured to the size of a large SBMP lift piece and 2 to the small lift pieces
[*]Some mounted guns with the ability to be raised up and down
[*]Mines, and minelayers

The three types of turret: Laser, pulse laser and rocket (In that order) (The button on the bottom of the mounts makes them raise up or down, the left turret is lowered to show you how low it can go!)

The mine and the minelayer (Pressing use on the top of the mine makes it count to 3, and on 4 the spikes come out slightly. If you get too close, it will charge up and detonate violently)

Also, sorry about the mild HDR rape, I like glowing stuff. :P If you don't like it, turn on bloom and set darken to full!
I have a few more things to do before I actually release it, but you might as well expect it relatively soon.

You should make more displacements for the ground though, and the headcrab cannister'd building should have some more debris than just the wooden splinters. Also, add more props for detail. :)

The day/night cycle is basically just an overlay over the sky in the skybox that changes colour/opacity as the 'day' progresses, and it also affects any env_suns on the map and the light_environment.

I was trying to get it so that zombies come at night, but it didn't really work. I think there is a way I could do it, but I'm still not too sure. :P
Also, since it is pretty much pitch black down in the cavern, I'm gonna add a little switch on the control panel that brightens it up to help with building, or just to keep it lag free without all the light sources!
Reminds me of this thing I once made in Photoshop. It has a walled citadel + city also! :D

The day-night cycle was causing problems with my cubemaps, so I've had to remove them, so there won't be a night time (Unless I make a separate map for night :P). Sorry!

I've not made too many visual changes apart from adding a sun and doing some shadowy stuff. :P

Any who, HDR looks rather orgasmic. This map is coming along nicely.

Okay, one last beta test will be tonight with my brothers and then it shall be released (If no more bugs are discovered :P)
[ADDED] Custom brush-based wall pieces!
[ADDED] Two shields! (One is rectangular, one is designed to protect the player holding it)
[ADDED] More decoration to the hut
[IMPROVED] The advisor pod crashsite now looks like it smashed into the ground, instead of being placed on it
Todo (Can't be bothered to open notepad):
- Reduce the amount of zombies that spawn
- Fix the antlion spawns
- Add antlion workers
- Reduce the amount of combine that spawn
- Fix the lag coming from the house

The 2 new buttons in the bottom left next to the light create little shields, one designed for holding as a player and one that is just rectangular, which can protect you from a great deal, including a rocket (or at least, when we tested them :P)

In the beta test, it was quite laggy from the sheer amount of npcs in the map. Every so often we would have to get a stack of about 5 sticks of TNT to clear out the map!
Then we nuked it and my graphics card had artifacts :P
