im asking if there is a way, in hammer, i can select an animation for that npc to do. for ex, sitting down. by clicking on a drop down box.
use a scripted_sequence entity, ill redirect you to a youtube tutorial that isn't shit in a sec.

here you are.
It isn't that great, but it made me able to use them fine.
Edit:
sorry for the vid, you may be able to find a better one, the maker is a mindless babbling fool.
Edit.. again:
I lied, this tutorial is pretty shitty. "blah blah blah barney is working blah blah read comments imababblingfool blah blah."
^This
thanks.
Is there any way to script an NPC to put a gun to his face and shoot himself? Im doing a horror themed map and I wanted to use that if it was possible.
it is, but you have to make the animation yourself.
How does one go about doing that? :p
umm, faceposer? idk.

Yeah i think faceposer should do it, i don't want to criticize valve but they really should label it better, it poses more than face animations you know. :O
You can't do that kind of thing most of the time unless suitable premade stuff is already there. You need to learn to animate using a 3rd party modelling program.
You need to use the program on the thingy to make the guy sit on the stuff.
I love your incredibly detailed instructions. It's as if I were actually there.
