I'm buying a new hard drive soon and I'm currently working on a TF2 map.
I'm wondering if it would be possible to upload my unfinished map on the internet, re-download it and continue working on it once I have my new HDD.
Someone told me to put it in a zip file and email it to myself, but I don't know how to convert the map to a zip file (I'm new to the whole mapping scene, obviously).
Anyone know how?
Right click on the vmf and click "add to zip".
Zipping files is a basic skill, don't they teach these things anymore?
I basically needed to do the same thing as you. I don't know why you needed to make a thread.
You can either upload your vmf online and re-download on your new HDD.
Or you can use a thumb drive to do the same thing.

It's worse when XP/Vista/7 owners download Winzip.
