We've been working on a map for a while, and the only thing stopping us from release is this skybox, which is on LSD. When you look up it starts doing this and it's ONLY the skybox (when you delete the 3D skybox it dissapears.)

Entities outside the map cause leaks.
And for future reference, [url]http://www.interlopers.net/errors/[/url] this link is very useful and easy to use and will basically tell you anything wrong with your compile/map right off the bat.
I have no idea what's up with them, they were missing even though they show up in hammer. Strange.
Anyways, it's not the static prop that's causing it. Still on LSD.

The thing is, everything is fine when I remove the 3D sky camera. I'll try your suggestion.
Does it have to be? Although no, it's not. The thing is its something in the map, as the skybox was working before.
Do what Wazanator said, cordon sections of the map and compile over and over until you find the source of the issue. It's annoying, but if you don't have any leads it's pretty much what you're going to have to do.
Well if I cordon parts of the map, then the 3D skybox won't be included in the cordon, and I won't be able to see if it works or not.
Is your 3d skybox using the 3d skybox material? Change it to 2d skybox material or you'll cause the paradox that is your skybox currently.
I was thinking of doing that, I'll try it now and see if it works.

this is most certainly what's causing it.
to elaborate a bit: the walls of your 3D skybox must be outside the extents of your playable area. otherwise you will get the "hall of mirrors"/nodraw effect (like in your screenshot) when your player character moves into an area where the 3D skybox can't be rendered. i probably did a shit job explaining it, so lemme know if you want me to draw you a diagram or something.
simple solution is to just raise the ceiling (and/or move the walls) of your 3D skybox a bit further out.
EDIT: well, "simple", depending on how badly you've fucked up the alignment.

The thing that confuses me, is that it's compiled PERFECTLY fine before, without ANY issues.
I haven't TOUCHED the skybox.
There are a few things that you may with to try.
Have you tried placing your map into a new .vmf?
Have you tried not compiling with Vis set to fast?
Are you 100% sure that you have all the materials in the right place and are mounted?

you misunderstand. the sky_camera is the origin of the skybox. it [i]already[/i] corresponds to 0,0,0 (which is the origin of the playable area of your map). you're not supposed to actually place it there.
it sounds like you need to read some tutorials on how 3D skyboxes work. you're not going to solve this without having a basic understanding of it.
I know how 3D skyboxes work perfectly fine. You just confused me with that statement. (It doesn't make a difference where the position of the 3D skybox is.) I know it corresponds with the map, and I certainly know how they work.
And to firegod, I'm sure its mounted, and I've compiled with it set to final, so its not that.
Though I've seen other people with this problem through hours of googling. (Hard to explain with search terms.) Nobody gives solutions.
It's weird because it was working perfectly fine before.
WAIT! I think I might know the issue, I was thinking about the origin, and how the sky_camera is the 3D skybox equalivant, and I realized I DID move the entire map, which probably f*Cked up the alignment.
Good thing I have about 10 backups. I can realign it.
I've been dwelling on this for a week, I'll see if it works!
