Ski Chalet: Rp, gm, whatever ends up fitting.

So this isn't exactly my first map, but it's the first map I'm actually posting anywhere...considering I'm not that great of a mapper, really. Anyhow, it's supposed to be sort of a ski lodge/chalet cabin kind of thing, which just started as something fun, and is...turning into something pretty cool. I'm also making an Animal Hospital, but that's another thread, another time. Anyway, here are some pictures, feel free (please) tell me what I could do to improve it, thanks. It's nowhere near done, but if you see anything you think I could improve on, just say so.

Things to do:
-Fix a few misaligned textures
-Fix up lighting (It probably needs some work.)
-Remove shadows on those poles there.

I know it's dark, but I added another light and some more windows in there, and a little furniture. We'll see where we get from here.

I've also set up a small to-do list, which includes the following:

- Two Kitchen/Food Prep Areas on either side of the building, if not, just one and a cafeteria
- One or two conference rooms, depending on how the floorplan works out.
- A laundry room.
- Eight suites/rooms/whatever, each with bathroom and balcony (If I ever do a 3D skybox, I don't know how at the moment)
- And an indoor pool/hot tub and the works.

So yeah. Tell me what you think, and like I said, if anything needs improvement, don't be afraid to tell me.

...then again, this is Facepunch, so....

In 2nd and 3rd pic, I'd make those wood wall things horizontal.

It's pretty good actually. I suggest on cheking those windows - looks like they are as thick as the wall.

The windows are two units thick, and the wall is four units thick. Is that allright, or would you suggest something ticker/different?

And I'll see what I can do. They're the walls from cs_militia, so I don't know how they'd work horizontally.

Well I kind of cheated...

The roof supports are a model from cs_militia. Which will probably be consistent throughout the building.

What would you recommend to break up the blocky look?

I think it looks okay.
What may make it look blocky is the (lack of) anti-aliasing.
I guess you could lower the lights a bit, and change the skybox to a darker, or less blue color.

Oh, well at the moment it's the defualt skybox, I don't think the lodge will have an outside, so I'll just do some night skybox with a 3D skybox parking lot, I guess.

I've added a couple locker rooms. However, the lighting was [b]way[/b] too bright, so I dimmed them, but I don't have any screenshots of the dimmer version. :u

That room with the stairs originally is gone, that's where the locker rooms are now, and soon, will be the pool, which I'll work on tonight.
