• Alternative textures to water_warp_01, can't get it to work below dx9

I wanna use the water_warp_01 texture but I've tried running it on dx8 and it gives me [code] Attempting to bind a texture to an invalid sampler (4)! Attempting to bind a texture to an invalid sampler (5)! [/code] over and over in the console and I get purple checker boards. It works fine on dx9 but, if it is below dx9 that is what happens. The water_warp01 texture looks like this but blue. [img]http://farm1.static.flickr.com/12/69740870_3d03aa6b37.jpg?v=0[/img] What is another texture or effect that looks like this and works on all dx levels?
What makes you want to do this on Dx8?
I didn't think anyone had a dx8 card anymore
I have an intel integrated, It runs ep2 on dx10 but it only works with gmod on dx8. Maybe thats the reason. Or he could be testing it out to see if it does work in dx8

I don't want a dx8 only texture, just a separate one to fallback to that works, if someone is using dx8. Unless dx8 doesn't allow those sort of ripple effects.
