MORE SPECIFICALLY, how do you set up source sdk to make said maps?
I've tried myself and failed miserably, and I also looked online for info, but came up with nothing.
Not even the valve developer web site had anything on it! What do I do?
Please send me a tutorial if one exists!
You click the drop down game box on the SDK and select TF2.
Use this and adapt it for TF2.

It's not there is the problem.

Right, I tried that. But sadly that's how I screwed it all up...
If you've only just installed it, make sure you've run TF2 at least once to get all the files and shiz.
and if you already have run it once, try the Reset Game Configurations option on the Source SDK Menu
tried both. Still nothin...
Orange Box Engine? HL2 Engine?
Select the Orange Box engine from the first drop down box

You then HAVE to RE RUN THE Game/s

what are you talking about? the only reason you have to run the game once is so it can create the /steam/steamapps/username/team fortress 2/tf directory which contains gameinfo.txt and a few other text files which are needed to direct the SDK Launcher to the proper directories and gcf files in order to create a proper config.
Unless you uninstall team fortress 2, there's no reason for re-running tf2 before resetting game configurations.
Are you sure you actually have Team Fortress 2?
Click Reset Game Configurations and then click Refresh SDK Content.
