I just installed the L4D SDK today, and for some reason, Hammer does not want to start. It works in the regular SDK, but not in the L4D one.
I already reinstalled it once, too.
Thanks for helping!
I heard it takes like 5 minutes to load.
I don't own l4d so I wouldn't know anything else about it. Have you tried waiting 5-10 minutes?
No, haha I was being impatient I guess... lemme try it again and I'll post back.

Alright.
Yeah, turns out you were right haha, only took about 2 1/2 mins xD
The reason I thought it didn't work was because it kept saying "not responding", so I usually just closed it. Thanks again! :P

Haha no problem.
Quote from developer.valvesoftware:
Why does the copy of Hammer included with the L4D SDK take several minutes to launch?
L4D utilizes a different file structure from other Source based games. Hammer also searches through all the game's textures, models, VGUI materials and sounds as well as loading different shaders. These checks can equate to thousands of individual process events.
Patience my friend...
