• Making Bhop Maps

Im stuck on how i am supposed to make a bhop map. Every tutorial i watch, they tell me to use a func_door on the platform so that when you jump on the platform, it moves down and pulls you to a trigger that sets you back. I have gotten all this to work. The only thing is, i dont want the platforms to move. In just about every bhop map, the platforms do not move downwards. Someone told me to take off "Touch Opens" so that when you land, the platform wont move. Since the platform doesnt move anymore, you dont get pulled down into the trigger that spawns you. Any ideas on how to make this work?
Haven't you already posted this? [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] If you don't want the platform to move, don't make it a func_door.
It seems like you're not sure if you want the platforms to move down or not. You say you don't want the platforms to move down when you land on it, but once they don't move, they should because else players won't be pulled down into a trigger. Make up your mind or rephrase what you want.
I dont want the platforms to move. How can i make it so that when you stand on the platform for a certain amount of time, it will set you back to a spawn point. Yes i have already asked about this but not making it a func_door doesnt do anything. that just makes it a regular platform
So you want it to teleport you back to a spawn location after standing on a platform?
Have any of you actually played bhop... When you jump on a platform for maybe 1 second, it teleports you back to re-do that part of bhop. I have looked at other bhop maps to see how they did it. They do use a func_door except the platform does not move.
I don't even know what bhop stands for. And have no idea why they use a door if it's not moving. Use a trigger_teleport liked to a trigger_multiple and a timer. Have the trigger start the time when someone walks in, and stop when they are out of it. Link the timer to activate the teleport at the end of the time, and deactivate once the person has teleported.

Ah I get how it works now: Blue: Func_door Orange: Trigger_teleport the func_door is set to move 2 unit (Pixels in this case) down and resets one sec after or so. If the player doesn't jump away as soon as he hits it he will be touching the trigger_teleport and be teleported back. But the way bunnyhopping works the player will only be touching the door at one ingame frame and the door won't be opened enough to let the player be teleported.
