For all of you people I put VMEX on Filefront. This does not mean I should start hearing people stealing other peoples maps. This is just for people to take in and get ideas from other peoples maps. Mods if you don't want people to have this I will remove link. This is for people who agree that they will not steal other peoples maps and call them their own but give credit to the main author. Why did you upload it to filefront? It was the third result in Google for "vmex"

hmm ... I got vmex a few months ago, but I cannot convert rp_hometown1999 to .vmf :S And when I convert gm_construct .bsp to .vmf, it works! But when I press F9 in hammer to test the map, it says there's a missing file. What should I do? are there a newer version of vmex? or could anyone upload a gm_construct.vmf which works?

Use the other file and that decompiles it and takes the textures.

What you realy want is the VMEX bu aswell you might aswell get the GSF Scape, ___.gcf = I file you cant go in unless you have it and you can copy out like GM-Construct from Gmod. [url]http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26[/url] and you might find your VMEX thing there to

GCFScape extracts content from gcf files.
VMEX takes compiled bsp maps and decompiles them into vmf format.
two different tools with two different purposes.
