This thread has been gone for a while, so I decided to resurrect it. I always end up laughing when I see somebody's first map (no offense) 1.If you can [B]post a photo[/B] (or two) of your map (finished or unfinished) 2.[B]Give a description[/B] of what the map is or was intended to be 3. It is pretty much complete but I never released it because to me it looked like crap. The areas don't really flow well in my opinion, they are also empty and blocky. Some are just plain strange, like why would the combine have a giant sandpit? It is basically just my attempt at trying to create a combine facility. I don't think I'll redo it since I don't play that much TTT anymore. No idea what I could redo it for so I just plan to have it stay unreleased.
This was the first map I almost released but hard drive crashed and lost the files, it was a Garry's Mod Stranded Map for a server I was developer for. Well my first map was a very small grass map, but that was just for getting to know hammer My first map that i actually spent time on is a map that never saw the light of day It was a casino for a custom gamemode but the project was too big for my first time [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/KL9qzML.png[/IMG] [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/6Y19AFT.png[/IMG] Come to think about it so far none of my maps saw the light of day XD. it's because the project is too big and i'm still learning stuff. so yeah [editline]28th July 2014[/editline] Though i'm going to keep trying to make maps and hopefully i can release something. I am extremely creative in my head, but the map stops seeming interesting after I build a few walls xD, and I give up.

It took me 5 years to finally release a map as I end up abandoning most of them. Either from getting bored with them, or they have way too many issues to fix.
Not sure how I managed this but my pc blue screened after loading my first map again.
My first map was an awful mixture of default textures, unrendering water, and fullbright with a massive leak. Glad I don't have pictures of it. This is the earliest map I still have pictures of. [img]http://i.imgur.com/RLyWxYi.jpg[/img] The rest of the map was literally just one huge stretch of grass that sloped down a bit at the end. It was built to withstand the infamous [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=106565409]nuke pack[/url] and for the most part it worked. So long it wasn't a direct hit.

As the terrorist you could if you want plant the bomb in the center of the map (or by pressing the button) and blow the hostage up into the sky or you can blow up the car in the background. Uf you hit its gas tank it will shoot up in the air with flames and smoke and explosions. At the very background you have an electrocution room. If you stand in it and press the button you will get electrocuted haha

This is a rats type puzzle map[with looooong gameplay time, people liked it very much!] for Garry's Mod I released this since toybox but when toybox from gmod disappeared this map too. I in not long time I recovered it from some torrent but without my all custom textures and sounds. That's the reason why there are missing textures and models. Lots of pretty good maps, I suspect first released rather than actual first. I lost mine 2-3 computers ago but I can describe it. Really dark box with lights spammed everywhere like white spots, 2 platforms with lots of wire mesh fences everywhere. Platforms covered in combine and rebels, no nodes so they acted really really dumb. In the middle was a cage with a zombie. My first real release was a desert with a mansion (with no rooms just a big empty box) in the middle, no steps just ramps. No displacements. I didn't optimize at all so it took 12 hours to compile. Played darkrp on my friends listen server on it.
First map was for Portal 2 and was pretty much just a hollowed out box with some stuff in it. The player would have had to solve a puzzle based around getting to a portalgun located in the center of the room, but it never got very far. [I]1/10.[/I] I did make a map based upon a similar concept in 2013, though. First release wasn't much better. Again it was for Portal 2 but it was basically just a small, rectangular room with a fizzler in the middle. Though the objective of the map was really just to show off some stuff that I at the time thought was some pretty hot shit: a redesigned cube dropper that spawned exploding cubes. [I]2/10.[/I] I don't have any screenshots though. Lost anything related to these maps years ago.

Well, my ever first was a simple box with default texture and a light entity. Like a small room. I have made lots of maps that time, too many. Sadly can't bring them back since they are so old they are pretty much dead.... This is what i can find so far that is somewhat old.
