It looks nice and well designed.
I love what I see here, keep working on it! I'm sure my fellow star trek fans agree with me.
I'm not sure if this ship is based off any actual design, but if you're open to suggestions, regarding the warp core, i think a more "star trek voyager" -ish look is more attractive.
(just my opinion)
I'm not really going for cannon, or accuracy, just kinda winging it as I go along, I've looked into some diagrams online but that's about it.
I was going for a Voyager-ish look for the warpcore, I may change up the scale a bit and see what it looks like, I'll post more pix when I do.

Nice work! All I'd suggest, is using more brushes for curved areas, detail etc. for a more desirable look.

Is there a reason for some rooms not having a ceiling? Looks to me as if you can see into a cloudy skybox. Or is that somehow intended?
I love the clean style it has.
The circle on the floor in the last picture you just posted seems like it could have some more sides though, for detail. It's 'obvious' right now.
The textures look a bit cartoony to me. I'm not sure why.

i've been playing the rpgx mod on star trek voyager elite force for a long time and also took part in a few rp groups years ago...
sad the rpgx community has passed its peak for long time now
looking back on the blocky, yet smooth and coherent map design of the game...these w.i.p. pictures bring back memories :)
i wouldn't mind brushes to stay a bit blocky

a suggestion regarding the warp core...
could you add some sort of light blue shimmer to the inner barrel instead of the shining silver texture?
would make the engineering section seem a bit more "alive" ^^

Thanks for the complement, I have learned a lot since the last map, My inspiration for the first one was rp_Bahamut and originally was not going to be trek-ish at all, but it kinda went that way.
As far as the ceilings, those shots were taken before I made a ceiling in those rooms, I have had a few problems along the way and decided to move on to other rooms for a bit.
I might re-do a few of the rounded brushes because they do look a bit jagged, i was fearful of concave brushes being generated and causing problems especially at a small detail level, hammer has a damn stroke when you do rounded details usually.
I'll post more pix as it progresses.

When you make a rounded brush, with the cylinder tool you should, ideally be vertex manipulating each vertex until the entire brush is on the grid, then the said errors wont occur. Either that, or convert it into a model with propper, I know vertex manipulating such a detailed cylinder can be a ball ache.
When I saw the name USS Luna I thought it was going to be the first ship of the [url=http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Luna_class]Luna Class[/url] from the Star Trek Titan novels.
But, this is equally as awesome since its a Miranda class.
Very well done, I will be waiting for this map to be released. I take my hat off to you. One question why didnt you make Voyager?
Also, it would be a good idea if you could make it so you can sit down in the seats.
Having wheelie chairs on the bridge might be dangerous.
It's still an awesome looking map.
some sort of splint under the chairs at the front would be good...so they can "theoratically" slide sideways

There are no pictures of the interior since it was a novel ship.
Just added some new models, I've just started using "Propper" tool for making some models, Created a Tricorder, Backboard for Sickbay, Working on the Warp core and a Photon torpedo next. I'll post pix as they are created.

Lol...No, really, though, wouldn't it be impractical to have office chairs on a bridge of a ship that often rolls on an angle? Like, everyone on the bridge would have to either stand up or keep their chair as restrained as possible or it'd roll to one side whenever they made a hard turn :P
no it wouldn't be impractical, the ships gravity works like the gravity hull design tool, so having wheely chairs wouldn't matter :P
This map is looking brilliant, i love Luna class ships, and this one is looking great, nice work! :D
