My friend told me that adding HDR to my maps will make it a lot more realistic, and will attract more people. I want both of these. I don't know what it is or how to use it. Please keep in mind I have not been mapping (GOOD mapping) for a long time. I am just starting to get more complicated.
Click the hdr button when your going to compile.
Heres a link with everything you need to know about hdr.

See the difference? HDR is much more appealing to the eye.
That seems a poor example, the map has lighting inconsistencies all over the place, and the HDR makes little difference improving it at all.
