I am currently having trouble with my lighting because the light from my light_enviroment is somehow passing through a closed building. I am also getting very odd looking shadows on the walls inside of the building, none of my brushes are invalid so I dont know what is causing this. Please help me out, thanks.
Heres a video showing what I mean:

(If you pay attention you can see some odd blocky shadows on the back wall, also, ignore those lights on the ceiling, those are just some shitty lamps that I need to fix.)

are there any func_illusionarys in the map?
If those doors open in front, that might be causing it.

Yes, but the light is above the doors. That would mean that my light_enviroment is shining upwards, which it is not, it is shining nearly straight down.

The light on the second pic is coming from the doors on the first pic. Doors don't block light.
Make a tiny brush textured with toolsblocklight and put it inside the doors.
Is there any way to show lighting models? (Or anything else that will allow me to see where the light is coming from)

I suppose I can try that, but based on the angles of the light that doesnt seem like the problem. Alright, trying that.

Well in the end, it was indeed the doors. But, in order to completely block the light using the blocklight texture will have to make some part of the doors completely black, are there any alternatives?

Thanks for the "dumb" rating, but I would have caught this if it was not for the odd angles of the light.

Does anyone know of any alternatives to block light or how I may use it, if I were to seal all cracks of light, then some parts of the doors would have to have the lighting blocked on them, this does not look very good.
Source has almost nothing dynamic (lighting I mean) other than the flashlight, so you can't really fix it perfect tbh.
Just stick with the block light texture and/or get over it.
Most of the light on the walls is just bounces from the main bit of light.
