I've imported some models into hammer but when I open the model browser and navigate to the models location it's not there. I am using the ep2 hammer. Anyone know how to fix this?
All I can think of is to check the directories. That has to be the main cause. That or invalid files (Ones not used by the Source Engine). I'm not into custom models as much as textures, but they are similar in the way directories are used. Also try pressing "#Assest" or whatever the button says on the prop window on the top left corner. (You might have forgotten to press it.)
I've pressed #asset all it did was reload the list. Also I've checked the models they are valid. Any other idea?
Where did you put the files? (What directory)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Half-Life 2\ep2\models
I honestly can't remember if steampipe broke folder-loading content from default game directories, I'm fairly sure it imports content now from the VPK's.
edit the gameinfo.txt to include another subfolder, then extract the content there.
Also, make sure you have all files necessary to display the model, there's several, including the skins, which go in materials/models/propname.
