I started holidays 4 days ago, and in those 4 days, i have been playing around with hammer alot. I have learnt alot of things, kicked myself a few times, but overall, learnt alot. (mainly kicking myself)
I have got very good reference pictures of the Stargate Atlantis Gateroom, and, from what i have found, most Stargate Atlantis maps have been a little "low".
So I have decided to create a Stargate Atlantis map of my own!

You can also put in some kind of lobby or something. It could be future-style, whatever you want as long as there is a lobby. If no lobbies, you can put a battlegrounds. I reccomend both for one base, and a battlefield outside the base.

This is inside of Atlantis. In all of the 5 seasons, i never knew that they had a battleground in Atlantis. But a lobby, yes, i will see what i can do.
By the way: get rid of the "-_-" in your post. You lose smartness for using "1887 5P3AK" or whatever it is called in Facepunch

Imagine a door that you could only close from the inside of the room, then you have it.
Will this map have some of the other rooms like puddle jumper room and random labs, medical place?
And also would be nice if there was alot of space to run around,maybe do the whole city. :P

Awesome, i love having a large map to run around, and this seems perfect for RP, just one tiny problem. were would the stargate lead to? i mean if you doing just atlantis, and there is only one gate in atlantis...
I hope your map will be something like dm Stargate Atlantis b3-2 (the only good Atlantis map for death match)But then more gmod like. This map has a lot, really a lot of room to play in. Plus it has the teleporters you see in the series.

Look the bottom of the first post. he's gonna make the sg1 gate room as well (maybe as spawn area)
Will it have AI nodes? I'd like to see Combine attacking me through portals.

Yes, i hope for it to be better than dm_Stargate_Atlantis_b3-2, and it will have teleporters going across the whole city.
I am hoping this map will have:
3 living quarters
A medical lab
A science lab
A holding cell
A few corridors
and maybe even a hologram room (if i find out how to get one, or if someone is willing to add it in)

Ok, time for a small update. Considering nobody said if they wanted the conference room to be accessable or not, i have decided to make it accessable.
I am also going to post a video of v1.1b - It has undergone a few updates. But not enough to actually called it v1.2...

Don't forget to put the Stargate in the rooms. If not, maybe you can also put a soldier equipment room or a weapons room. I prefer both.
This map also need's places to dial with the gate

Ok, I have a freak storm (maybe not so freak) coming pretty much for my house as i speak. I could lose power at any second, and have no access to Hammer already. I will post a few screenshots when i get out of the storm.

I just can't seem to get it right. I can record everything, i go "startmovie preview1.avi" and that should work right? I can't seem to get it into a .mp4 or even a .avi, just a wmv or whatever.

you should put the mainland outside so for battles one side could have atlantis while the other has the mainland. i feel sorry for the people who have the mainland
That is a awesome idea. Very good for a team deathmatch....
just thinking, maybe make midway and earth too? because just atlantis would be a bit small, so more area to do things, basicaly make a remake of sgworlds. or you could give your atlantis to the sgworlds team (whoever they are).
