I've been making a remake of my first map, "otherworld", for a while now. Now that map(s) is stable and pretty much bug free, i can feel free to release the it. The package contains 3 maps: otherworld1, otherworld2 and otherworld_ending. It's probably needless to tell the playing order. I'd like to highlight, that "The Otherworld" is specifically designed for Half-Life 2: Episode Two (works also in gmod, though), and it's [b]single player[/b] only. Have fun, and report problems, if you encounter any. I have done pretty much all i can with ash rain (reduced the density a lot). We could always ask nicely Valve to increase the size of vertex buffer, though.

Ok Killer89, that was pretty damn scary. Now it might even be more scary than Nightmare House Remake or the original. The picture with Pyramid Head and the custom sounds you put in were terrific!

I am also encountering the vertex buffer issue. It's dissapointing because I really wanted to play through the first part. And my machine is rather high end, I don't think it's a problem on my end.

I could have used stalker bloodsucker as fast zombie. ( i even tried it, and it was good.) The problem is, that there are still some fucktards who dont understand, that porting stuff from S.T.A.L.K.E.R is legal. (fpsbanana hates ports, even if they are legal.)

But i think that Bloodsucker doesn't fit in the Silent Hill world. Hey, you know that i have nurse ragdoll from SH5. You could rig it so, that it fits to zombie skeleton. Perfect zombie replace. And some nurse sounds... :aaa:

If someone is willing to rig it, then it would be nice.
It had potential but I crashed due to VERTEX_SIZE_BUFFER so I didn't play it all. I also instantly died [sp]by touching the wheelchair and when I entered "HOME" door, so that's 2 times[/sp] for no reason, which almost made me rage quit because it was so annoying. You should also have some autosave triggers (perhaps I didn't play enough, I didn't notice anyone)

Vertex error is dominating, i turn on the flashlight and the game stops.

I'll reduce it on next week + fix few other problems (like one missing texture in otherworld_ending.) Ps. Isn't it ironic, that de_aztec's precipitation is larger and density is same as in otherworld1, and it still wont crash?
I think its something on the map compressing, or the engine (The CSS maps is ported on 2006 Source engine) Maybe this helps.

I haven't played Silent Hill and if I would, it would probably made perfect sense to me why I died. Now it does not.
