Hi guys ! I would like to present you my new classic defuse map called de_cargo. I've been working on it past 3 months. Description Map is set in central Europe. Terrorists are determined to stop the old army base from being remodeled. I like how you took so much time to find and post those problems that people won't even notice during normal play
I like how you took so much time to find and post those problems that people won't even notice during normal play
I wish I had someone this dedicated to helping me improve and optimize my maps. I'm jealous.
Thank You for your dedication man. I will try to fix those 0.5 units floaters ASAP.
Thank You for your dedication man. I will try to fix those 0.5 units floaters ASAP.
In all seriousness though, I'd be super happy if someone made a post as long as onebit did for a map that I worked on. It saves me finding out about it weeks or even months later when I don't feel like working it anymore, or am already working on another project. Though...I'm not sure why the floaters are that big of an issue..Fill me in if you can?
To be honest I was kindly surprised that someone put so much effort to find those. I can agree with few but not those that are like 0.5 units above the ground. Players wont notice them until they use noclip and get there views on the ground level. But I like how you pointed those and not cliping issues :)
Really reminds me of de_cache.
Really reminds me of de_cache.
Please tell my why !
Please tell my why !
That's not necessarily a bad thing. But if you are curious - lighting and texture set is main thing.
Please tell my why !
Both are set in abandoned soviet facilities, same architcture, some textures and general feel etc
Thank you guys. I have been flooded with "Cache 2.0" comments. So I'm just curious. Mine map is set somewhere in central europe . I would say its post soviet logistic base. We have a lot of those here in Poland so this was my inspiration for this map. To the lighting I changed it to this I think one week before releasing. Wanted to give the map a nice feeling.
