I'm not going to detail this wing of the building, so I want the glass to be opaque. What looks better, the refracted texture, or the plain one? I'm leaning toward the refracted one, but we'll see what you guys say. The refracting glass: While welcomly darker, he Non-Refracting glass makes less of an impact: The original image: [img_thumb]http://newyorkpanorama.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/2008-04-sky-over-astoria-600.jpg[/img_thumb] What do you guys think? :v:
I prefer the 2nd one
Did this really need its own thread? Why not just use cubemaps
Did this really need its own thread? Why not just use cubemaps
I guess not, sorry about that. And uh, can you apply cubemaps to any surface?
Just about. Just add in $envmap env_cubemap to the .vmt
I did that, nothing. I kind of just stuck it there, I'm not really sure where to add it. [editline]8th November 2010[/editline] Then again I forgot to buildcubemaps so when I get home I'll try that and post the results.
