I am currently practicing on Displacements and on prop_detail for a map I'm making for a story that I am making into a comic :v: I need criticism and advice to make it look better.

Use Episode 2 textures :v:
There's not really a whole lot to comment on. The cliff has a big fold in the middle for some reason and the forest floor is pretty smooth.
Add some more detail sprites, get a slightly better texture for the ground and paint the alpha so that the grass doesn't grow as much under the trees, add some fallen logs and trees (remember to add a bit of a ditch where the tree has come out of the ground), add rocky outcrops and small riverbeds where seasonal rain has carved a path into the environment over time, add in a collapsed part of the cliff (make it look like a chunk has been removed, then add rock shards and gravel at the base), get some more vivid lighting (not so much that it takes away from the atmosphere you are trying to create, just so the colours don't all blend into one like they do now), add some small puddles and ponds, put some nice foliage overlays (like forest flowers growing on the ground between the trees), add some small shrub and fern props in and around the base of some trees to create a sort of natural cover (which seems like it'll help you if you intend on doing the whole camo soldier thing) and finally maybe get some better (or more diverse) tree models.
Just a couple of hints to get you heading in the right direction.
