The only space skybox texture i can find is really shitty, blurry and low-res, and looks pretty dreadful, so i was wondering if anyone knew a good place to find decent-looking ones? I don't even know where to begin looking.

Try this out, it's worth a shot atleast. It's just a tool skybox, like the rest, but high resolution with one seamless texture on all six sides to keep file-size down.
Also check out the LunarCell plugin for photoshop. It lets you generate planets that you can put into your skyboxes. I used it in a lot of my maps.
