Hello there! Just a quick question, does anyone know of any good beginners guides to mapping? If you have one on your YouTube channel and think its good? If rules allow be my guest. Thanks and happy mapping! -Jerry!
Try TopHATTwaffle, he has plenty of great video's to show you the basics, and videos to show you more advanced techniques later down the line.

Uh, no. He's a terrible self centered ass that nerdrages whenever someone tells him he's a terrible mapper. He used to suggest things like carving cones, spheres and cylinders out of blocks to make terrain and other nonsense.
He came on FP some years ago and started attacking some of the top mappers here for calling him out on his terrible tutorials.

I think you're being a bit harsh, his tutorials are really good for getting you up to speed FAST on the basics of hammer. if you just want to get into mapping; get over that first wall of "how do I even make a map" I would gladly reccomend 3klik as it's his tutorials and videos which got me interested in mapping for source in the first place. yes, the frustration of having to re-learn all the basics but "Properly" at a later time was great but without that initial boost at the start I would most probably have given up early, judging hammer for the horrible mess it really is.
3klik is the Mike Chang of mapping
