Awesome news, I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this but there is a guide on steam detailing how to work with propper post-steam-pipe update:

It works.
You can also use Wallworm to import a vmf into 3ds Max directly and convert it like that, but then you need to take care of the materials manually whereas Propper does that for you.
