Need a Mapper - Developers - Facepunch Forum

I'm sorry if this is the wrong section, I don't know where else to put this. I'm looking to hire not a "super experienced" mapper but someone that can build off of a map that's already made. (Garry's Mod) I've received permission from [I]Shirk[/I], the mapper of [I]gm_mountain[/I] and I have his permission to allow someone to add stuff to it for a server I'm launching soon. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/IXO3hpe.png[/IMG] I'm willing to pay anywhere from [B]$1 - $45[/B], so name your price. All I have are requests that I need on the map. Most are definite, some are stuff I would like to see on it. This map will have a banner of my community name, logo, website, and the mappers name near default spawn. This will be provided by me when needed. [B][U]Map Requests:[/U][/B] - Small 'woodsy' area / forest, possibly with a creepy cave or two in the mountain. (Players can enter this cave.) - Couple of old farms / housing scattered around map. (Players can enter these interiors.) - Small village in the valley. (Consisting of 5-6 small houses, 2 shops, and 1 small tavern/bar.) - Large Castle/Town Fortress in side of mountain, with front doors preferabbly (open and closable). - Large fortress/castle built in mountain range, preferably on side. (Consisting of roughly 15-20 small housing / shops inside, 1 medium tavern/bar, also has 1 large dungeon/jail with 5-6 accessible cells.) - Medium fortress opposite from Large Castle, somewhere on the mountain range but accessible. (7-8 small housing, 3 shops, 1 small dungeon with 3 accessible cells.) - One small/medium temple on highest mountain peak, sort of "sacred" looking. (One medium sized room, very dim on interior, but yet creepy.) - Skybox changed from ocean to a mountain range so it looks somewhat proportional and realistic from a distance. - My community name along with mappers name, also with "Never Redistributed" should be hidden but accessible via no clip. I would be interested in making something like this! As long as you provide many reference pictures this shouldn't be a problem. This sounds kinda interesting. Whoever makes this, is free to "cannibalize" my old finished and unfinished maps for this as well as my materials and models. [QUOTE=rockerx;43399794]Did he give you the original project files for that map? .vmf , etc.[/QUOTE] Yes he did And whoever believes the map should go public, the server I'm bringing up is unique, and now that I can't use the map I initially intended, I wanted to pay someone to make something to my demands, put my community name somewhere a normal player can't get to, and state who made it (aka you peoples) and it's not for redistribution. I want this map exclusive to my community and server. The housing matter, feel free to drop them down a scale. The server is a 32 slot medieval roleplay ran under clockwork. The only thing delaying the server opening is the map. If someone can make it to my absolute needs without distributing, I'm sure I can work out a nice price. The only thing is, I'd have to see the map and actually criticize it in order for me to accept it. I'm not blindly paying the mapper and turns out I hate the map.

Count me out then. I don't want to make private maps.

I'm just going to point out that there's no point in trying to keep a map private considering anyone can join the server, download the map then upload it to their server.

Why not just customize the map to your servers preference, and then release it? If you still keep things in the map like the hidden server room, people should realize its a community map. Maybe have a spawn with a texture with your servers information?
