Made Map in Sketchup...anyone want to do the rest?

I made a map of the place were i work. I want to be able to use it in gmod but i don't know how to do the rest. Anyone want to finish it and make it playable for me?
Ha never thought of that!
Sketchup to Source is extremely messy unless you used the right units.
I would personally just use it as a template. Post some screen of what you have.

There is a pack of Valve dev textures for SketchUp. But you gotta set up SketchUp first to work with Hammer units.
So... can we see some screenshots at least? That would help describe the level of complexity. No doubt somebody would have to re-create the entire layout in hammer because scaling is a bag.
All the faces/edges/vertices have to be grouped into geometric shapes, otherwise hammer will not be able to use them.
A friend and I messed with the tools a few years ago. He had a Sketchup model of the Mirror's Edge city that he wanted me to turn into a map. Needless to say, the effort needed was beyond what I was willing to do.
1. Get Portal 2 SDK
2. Launch it, there's a link on the main menu that will give you vmf export plugins for sketchup.
Here are some screenshots taken in Sketchup: http://www.flickr.com/photos/78015296@N04/
The map consists of a basement, main floor, and the last building on the right has a second floor.
That look pretty straight forward to make in hammer.

Would you be willing to make it playable for me?

Sure. Pm me the link to your sketch. I don't know if I'll have it done before Christmas. Do you want me to texture the Mao or shall I use dev textures and leave the texturing to you? Also would you like meno setup some nice lighting?
Why anyone would use Sketchup to make maps for Source is beyond me. I mean it's more trouble than it's worth. If you know your way around Hammer you can do this just as fast and don't need to convert anything. Do it right or do it twice.

Thing is, Hammer is tricky to master. And depending on what broke in the latest upgrade, is unstable too. Experienced mappers can make wonders in a short time, no doubt about it, but SketchUp + Hammer is a nice way to get into Source mapping. Use SketchUp for the brushes, and Hammer to textures, lighting and everything else.
This thread in the Steam forums also has some nice examples on the SketchUp + Hammer combo http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=922563&page=2
Well, I made a start on the brush work. This is only about 30 minutes work.

Got to go to work now. Will do some more when I get a chance.

But unless you setup sketchup ahead of time before you start with the proper units things are going to be very off grid.
Recreated it as closely as I could with the screenshots provided, it's not exactly to scale and the 2nd building needs a 2nd floor and stairs; but at least it's something for you to start with:

I think you may have gotten confused who the map is for. You titled the map meekal_map? The map is for 13crhuber, not me.
Looks pretty decent though. I will wait to hear from 13crhuber to see which map he wants to use, as I don't want to waste time working on a map that won't be used.

Haha, yeah; Sorry. Sorta busy working on a lot of stuff right now, and quickly looked into to the thread to see a name.
Anyway, yeah.
Here's a bit more progress. The scale isn't perfect as I'm trying to keep all brush work neat as possible, i.e walls 8u. Standard door widths etc...

As you've actually worked here(I assume) how does it feel so far? I'm not 100% keen on those stairs, but it was quite hard to use the standard step height with that much restricted space.
Also, could you post some photos of the interior and the exterior. To give me a better idea of how I can detail it.
