Kerbal Space Program is a multi-genre game where players create their own space program. In KSP, you must build a space-worthy craft, capable of flying its crew out into space, without killing them. At your disposal is a collection of parts, which must be assembled to create a functional ship. Each part has its own function and will affect the way a ship flies (or doesn't). So strap yourself in, and get ready to try some Rocket Science! The game has different game modes, you can play the Career Mode if you want to expand and manage your own Space Center, taking on missions and researching new technologies. Or you can play Sandbox mode if you're only interested in flying and discovering the Kerbal universe without restrictions. There is even a mid point between these two, Science mode. Current Major Build: 1.3 "Away with words" If you want the FULL experience download mods. Need a hand getting into orbit? Want some more info? Use the KSP wiki! The KSP community has its own forums, but I usually use their reddit. The game doesn't natively support multiplayer, but there are mods that make it a reality.
Make sure to check the mod versions, as a lot of them haven't been updated for newer releases of the game.
The game just got Steam Workshop support.
About bloody time.
The game also now has spyware support. gg squad/take two
firstly redshell isn't spyware, it's a metrics middleware which collects data no differently to what probably every single AAA game in the last 10 years has been doing secondly, your timing on the joke is a little ironic because redshell was completely removed last week when workshop support was added
Thats good, but were the fucky EULA changes ever reverted?
Haven’t played KSP in 4-5 years. Had good times with it back in the day. but I made the mistake of buying the version on PS4 recently. Fucking christ are the controls unintuitive as hell. But even if they were better, I don’t think it’s the kind of game you can play on a gamepad.
Sooooooo what do we do with all the mods installed with that 3rd party client now that we have workshop.
it's only craft files lol
Nothing out of the ordinary
https://imgur.com/a/4po2sxg I guess this is the up to date Kerbal thread? Here's a retro 1960s sci fi styled orbiter I made. Becomes unflyable on re-entry due to COM shift after burning fuel but it's able to make it to space.
https://puu.sh/Dm5Dy/8d30e9a84e.png I made a cute little reentry glider for chucking sub-orbital space tourists around. Easy money, only takes a few minutes.
Double post but IDGAF I made a pretty beefy spaceplane. Look at it. https://puu.sh/DmGtT/76fdbaf34a.png
No matter what, I never seem to be able to get SSTOs to work. Expendable rockets 4 lyfe.
Why not add expendable rockets to your SSTO? Worst of both worlds! https://puu.sh/DmJmi/d2e08453ad.png
New DLC apparently releasing on the 30th this month. Kerbal Space Program Blog, Kerbal Space Program Breaks Ground wi..
Stock Infernal Robotics.
Also Cryovolcanism on Vall.
At a first glance, it does NOT look worth a 15 dollar price tag
Got a nice lil' minmus mining base going on. Mines ore on Minmus, and then the ore shuttle brings it up to my refinery station in minmus orbit, where it is refined into LFO as needed for any kinds of interplanetary big boy missions, since Minmus is so easy to get to. https://puu.sh/DsofU/0f7b4d5488.png https://puu.sh/DsoqV/a477a46654.png https://puu.sh/Dsoxq/358746f782.png https://puu.sh/Dsohv/5cfc69a07c.png

Still hoping for some kind of electric propeller in stock some day.
I'm waiting for someone to make a robotic arm subaseembly so I can attach it to my shuttle Orbiters. I was never able to do a decent one with IR

It uses rotors to spin at a constant RPM, and then uses servos to position the blades with the controller slider acting as a collective/cyclic. You just gotta be really careful with it and not over steer or you'll have a bad day. Seems naturally stable, though. Landing was a bit tough... That huge tank on the front is just a mass simulator, btw.
Could something like that be used for a propeller blade?
probably. Only problem is I think that's the smallest wing piece. So your prop is gonna be huge. Would be fine for large planes/V-22 style things but it would be nice if we had smaller wing parts to use as blades.
What if you used something like a air brake as the blade?
