Hi! For the past few days I've been working on a recreation of my first map, MiniatureStage. This map was released in 2015 and was incredibly bland, broken and just generally poorly made - though people still liked it. I've wanted to make a new version of this map for some time, so here's some progress screenshots. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132591/e50df21d-aff3-4149-9bd7-094e3c924a56/20180106184919_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132591/80924141-8094-4742-923f-c112bf511f8e/20180106184926_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132591/ce393d54-6ec5-4507-8076-043ec070790d/20180106184803_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132591/8acf7512-6ff5-43bc-a633-f3b3082d2130/20180106184815_1.jpg It's not much, but I figured before I release this map to the workshop I want some suggestions of things I should change or things I should add. Also please ignore that black spot on the roof as I have no clue why its there or how I'm supposed to fix it just yet For example, I'm currently considering two things: A lighting room - A room with a bunch of buttons that affect the lights on the stage (e.g. Kill the lights/dim them, leave one spotlight on for dramatic effect) Dressing Rooms - Theres no real need for it, but the doors are already there anyway. The main reason I haven't already is because I'll then want to add more and more. But I guess if I did that the map could be used for gamemodes such as prophunt, or murder. Cheers!
Definitely looks interesting, I like the level of detail with the stage supports etc and the way you did your lighting. The possibility of different lighting setups for the stage sounds intriguing, and some extra rooms can never hurt ... Looking forward to what you come up with
Thanks! I've created a lighting room now and I'll post some screenshots once its worth showing along with the light settings. I might throw in some sort of 'party light' option later, too.
