So.. full discolure. I have less than 100 hours on this game, this may or may not mean my suggestion could be misplaced. Still, in the time iv been playing some things have really stood out to me. Mainly how goddamn important it is to keep moving in this game.
Seriously, unless your playing on a friendly peaceful server, if you stop in any situation for too long, you die. One way or another.
So, as the title of this thread suggests, it really seems like the main draw of the game (mortal combat) could become more dynamic and more fun if the player was allowed more movement options. For this suggestion thread im specifically bringing up these as possible ideas :
> Belly Crawl. Self explanatory.
> Ducking [To a lower position than the current crouch, maybe as low as to go into the above mentioned belly crawl.]
> Diving [to the ground or into water. Could terminate in a prone position or the next movement suggestion on this list.]
> Rolling [either the logical follow up to a dive or from standing/ducking/crouching. Possible stealth movement.
> Sprinting. Also self explanatory. Uses include extending jumping and diving distance.
In most survival games this range of movement would probably be redundant. However, PvP is so much a part of this game that giving people more options for it, such as these kinds of evasive manoeuvres, kind of feels like a no brainer. Especially since all the fights I have seen seem to be low key rocket tag, be they with arrows, bullets or actual rockets.
