Not a single word of any dev??? Official Servers.. - Rust

Most of the official servers have been down for like 14 hours, yet there's not a single word of any employee of Facepunch. What kind of shitty service is this? How is it even possible that it stays off for that long? What about our bases? Will they decay? They probably will huh? Very noice, 10/10 would buy rust again.

The most annoying part is that they havent even commented about the issue, I mean almost every other game keep their players updated through twitter or on websites. Sucks that noone knows shit.

You guys really need to listen up here. Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing is going to be done. Yes, the server may go back up however this is a 4 year issue that will not be resolved. Official servers are for testing, only. Not really for any of your enjoyment whatsoever. They are riddled with Hackers bugs and exploits. There is no Admin watching over. And do I really need to mention the downtime? Seriously guys, use community servers and stay away from Official. You may give the reasons why you like Official and that is all good but know this, if you return to official and you still complain it is your own faults. Fair warning

I already lost my base last wipe because of servers being ddosed. If this happens again I'm done with this game.

You have to think, most of the servers within the same area run off the same IP & system meaning if EU 1 gets hit offline, so does EU 2 & EU 3... same applies for US as far as I'm aware (separating North and South servers)

This is a retarded statement. The official servers are there as part of the product. If it was for testing only purposes then it'd be a test server and people would apply as much time to it, as it's not an actual investment. People often prefer to play on the official servers as they SHOULD be more stable than community ones and also SHOULD offer a more legit playing experience due to lack of admin abuse etc. If exploits are used then people should record said exploits and report them directly to facepunch who SHOULD fix them as a matter of urgency. People are not be unreasonable here when demanding answers; you're in the completely wrong mindset if you think your response is the correct one.

Seriously....you guys sit here and bitch and complain about a server that only you play on. You really don't give a crap about other servers being offline. All you really want to do is play...am I right? With that said, you guys fail to see the bigger picture because, once again you are to clouded by what YOU want to see it. Will you come here on the Forum and cry about Russia 1 being down tomorrow? No..you wont and that situation WILL happen. Will you come in and bitch when Australia gets hit with another one of it's thousand Dddos attacks. Whether you feel it is right or wrong is regardless. This is a situation that will not go away no matter how many people post. Get it through your head...Facepunch does not give a crap about these servers,they never have and never will. Trust me, with over 4k hours in this game from Browser I have been through all of this. There are waaay to many more stable community servers. The sooner you guys wake up to this the happier you will be. However, if you try and take on the troll role and constantly think your going to have some effect....well, it's your own fault.

The issue with community servers isn't stability, its longevity a lot of community servers die a couple days after wipe. The only exception I've really seen has been the rustafied servers.

If that was the only point of your wall of text, well, that's correct. By the way I'm not gonna bitch about a server being down in Russia or Australia, I couldn't care less. But I'll have sympathy for the ones that are bitching. The devs not putting out the slightest bit of information, or at least a hint that they noticed it will make you feel left out, which defies the point of an early access game.

I have no sympathy for ones who completely disregard the reality that is before them. I have no sympathy for those that experience issues,are given alternatives,are told the reasons and yet they think they know better. Yet...still bitch when they realize,they can't do squat. Absolutely correct. Except in this equation you call reality, there's one part missing: "are told information" I believe that we have not been told any information by any official in over 30 hours.

community servers are prone to admin abuse who spawn items or otherwise cheat by no clipping into bases and telling their "friends" who and when to raid. I simply don't trust them, because...abuse of power... people can't handle power...

So, you are saying that you need someone "Official" to tell you what is occurring? Really?

True. Even if we can be more or less certain it is a DDOS, it would at least be a nice touch (especially for an early access game) if they put out a notice.

Autistic guys only want to believe what they are thinking, no mather what. If rust would say the same they will be as salty as they are now, the only thing that changes then is that they can start a debate. Thats exactly why rust does not react to this type of posts, they already got enough shit talk! For years, we are getting complainings about servers that has to be stable, and upp all time if you want your server to be populated. Years of guys that keep going autistic to the devs, but forget to see that there are more than 100 community servers, with vanilla gameplay, 0 hackers and even stronger servers than facepunch has. And yet they keep complaining, because "officials have to be perfect". Why do you even join officials when they are down that much? And why do you complain, if you know that facepunch does nothing on this for over a year. Your the one that joined that server knowing that, do you realy think tah just another post related to 1000 others would make the difference?

First of all, they are not down that often. But when they go down, they stay down usually. Now, I firmly believe that official servers should bring the best vanilla experience possible. I am not mad for what happens while this game is in early access though. I do also firmly believe that this very concept of early access is partly defined by close communication between players and devs (and I have to admit, apart from this situation, facepunch rocks early access, just look at the weekly updates), which means if there is a long downtime, the devs should make a statement. Now, what is the difference in bitching vs not bitching? Well, as there is no public statement currently, maybe, just maybe, the last 30 hours of bitching will result in a statement during the next downtime.

Facepunch this is a message from me and your community, we are sick and tired of the carelessness shown by you guys and your lack of time of responding. I usually play facepunch Toronto Staging and I was looking forward to playing yesterday and today but apparently facepunch doesn't read their communities complaints at all
